Loosing weight and keeping it off with the paleo diet can be a very effective method for anyone. The paleo diet is based on foods eaten by our primitive ancestors for thousands of years. These foods are all low in carbohydrates and are the foods that people consumed before the wide availability of processed food that is widely consumed by the modern man.
